Notre Dame Refugee Centre provides a lifeline to refugees and asylum seekers. Its users - from all over the world - are the victims of persecution, discrimination, war, trafficking, climate change and economic inequalities. It is one of the first places they turn to when they reach safety.

    Situation

The period since March 2020 has been extremely challenging for Centre users, who have suffered greater anxiety, loneliness and isolation. With the cost of living increasing, refugees and asylum seekers suffer disproportionately. Many of those who were our regular visitors can simply no longer afford to travel into Central London to get the services they need.

    Solution

That’s why we’re making this appeal. 100% of the funds raised will be used to enable users to travel to the Centre on public transport. A £20 donation, match-funded, will enable a refugee or asylum seeker to attend the Centre for a month. And that month could make all the difference to their current and future lives.
