All funds will help us save more young lives by supporting HOPELINEUK, PAPYRUS' suicide prevention crisis helpline. 2021 saw a 26% increase in suicides of young people, we need to act now to make sure we are there for the young people of the UK and others who are concerned about a young person.

    Situation

Suicide is the biggest killer of young people in the UK today. Every year over 1800 people under the age of 35 take their own lives, with 1000's more attempting or contemplating suicide afraid to speak out. We hear of too many young people who seemed to be happy on the outside taking their own lives, leaving loved ones behind beyond devastated with their loss. We need to open up the conversations around suicide, ensuring those with thoughts of suicide can tell us how they feel and ask for help.

    Solution

Last year HOPELINEUK had over 95,000 contacts from people that needed help, that's over 260 people every day who are brave enough to reach our for the lifesaving support that we give. PAPYRUS is the only national charity dedicated to the prevention of young suicide. We support, equip & influence communities through HOPELINEUK & our training & education sessions. These are developed using our experience to engage with hard to reach communities, building resilience & raising awareness of suicide.
