    Situation

Disadvantaged young people have faced significant challenges since the pandemic. Mental health has deteriorated, with lack of access to outdoor space and education, inability to see their peers, and stressful and unstable home environments contributing. There has been a reported increase in emotional, behavioural and attentional difficulties in young people (Co-SPACE Study 20/21), the costs of living is hitting the poorest hardest and the number of children in care has increased significantly.

    Solution

We deliver meaningful and statistically significant impact on young people’s mental wellbeing, engagement with education, behaviour & life skills. We do this through a unique residential experience & follow-up programme, whereby children help run one of our four rural working livestock farms alongside a therapeutic, family approach. We also enable systemic change, by influencing the way the education system works to better support disadvantaged children nationwide.
