Two years of Covid and lockdowns have hugely impacted already socially isolated elders in care homes. Older people report feeling disconnected, anxious, bored, lacking confidence and craving community links, and things will only worsen for those who are most isolated e.g. unable to leave their rooms in the winter months. Care staff who are overstretched and weary need fresh creative input to help them to re-engage with residents in different ways.

We will partner with care homes to create exciting, high-quality arts activities: visual arts, music and photography, bringing joy to older people, encouraging meaningful interactions and combating loneliness and isolation. Our skilled artists support care staff to confidently deliver activities, using colours, touch and sound to reach the most isolated elders. Our intergenerational projects invite young people in, creating fun and building understanding and community between generations.
