Yogendra, 8, can’t remember a time when he could see clearly. He explains, “Everything looks blurry. I often fall while walking. I cannot go to school like other children.” Cataracts can be treated with straightforward surgery, but for families like Yogendra’s, the cost of treatment is out of reach. Nobody should lose their sight just because they’re poor. But in the world’s poorest places children are needlessly blind because they can’t access sight-saving eye services.

Your donation will restore sight and prevent avoidable blindness for children in the world’s poorest places by helping to fund sight-saving treatments like cataract surgery and support community awareness and screening programmes to ensure that children with eye problems are identified quickly. Your support will also help train local eye health workers to ensure children can access good quality, inclusive eye health services.
