We help children living with disability due to a brain condition and their families to discover a better life together. We work closely with families to find out where help is most needed and fund the relevant research to provide health and social care advice and support for the whole family.

Situation
In the UK today, there are around half a million children and young people with brain conditions that result in complex medical, educational and social support needs. By ‘brain condition’, we mean any neurodevelopmental condition that affects the developing brain, including those caused by illness, genetics or traumatic injury. Brain conditions include (but are not limited to) autism, ADHD, Down’s syndrome, learning disabilities, cerebral palsy, epilepsy and developmental delay.
Solution
By working with families, academics and practitioners to fund life-changing research and share these findings in ways families can use. Through a network of universities, we support research into; Pregnancy, Mental Health, Family Research, Complex Disorders, Sleep, Legal Entitlements, and Creative Design. We aim to reduce the prevalence of preventable disabling conditions, but also to empower families and carers, providing them with the knowledge and support needed to face their daily challenges
