Through a programme of empowerment activities, we will support a network of over 350 refugee and asylum-seeking women to build their confidence, develop their skills and share solidarity with one another. Our goal is to equip women with the support they need to rebuild their lives.

Situation
Refugee and asylum-seeking women have already survived so much, including rape, war and persecution. Yet many are living completely destitute in the UK and struggle to survive. Difficulties in accessing mainstream support services and education, alongside poverty, isolation, poor health and prejudice, results in many women struggling to integrate into their communities, pursue their goals of education and employment and to rebuild their lives.
Solution
Through provision of therapeutic mental health support, high-quality advice and creative and educational activities, refugee women are welcomed into a safe space where they can build friendships and feel a sense of solidarity. Our activities, such as English classes, Drama, Writing, Knitting and Rainbow Sisters support group for LGBTQ+ individuals, enable women to develop the skills and confidence needed to thrive as equal members of their communities, pursue their goals and rebuild their lives.
