Together we can help refugees living in Berkshire this Christmas. Each year, we support hundreds of refugees and asylum seekers who have escaped war, violence and persecution. Together we can give them a lifeline and help them rebuild their lives.

We have spent 26 years helping refugees from 50+ countries who have escaped war, persecution and modern slavery. Many are victims of human trafficking, some have No Recourse to Public Funds. Refugees experience unimaginable physical and psychological trauma on their long, tough journey to the UK, When they arrive in Berkshire, they face poverty, isolation, severe mental health issues, exploitation, the language barrier, racism and the 'hostile environment'. COVID has made all of this worse.

Our social activities help refugees to make friends, express themselves, grow in confidence and improve their mental health. We provide free legal advice and practical help with mental health, housing, benefits, legal status, poverty and more. We run one-to-one Befriending sessions where refugees can learn English, socialise and make friends. We deliver food parcels door-to-door and help our beneficiaries prepare for and apply for work.
