With your help, we can give more young people across the UK the chance of a musical life. We're raising money to support over 1,000 young musicians from low-income families across our programmes, so they can continue learning and reach their potential.

Young musicians from low-income families face significant barriers to progressing in music. 42% of state-funded schools in England no longer enter any pupils for Music GCSE (Cultural Learning Alliance, 2024). Free learning is limited and the other costs facing young musicians are rising - such as increased exam fees, auditions, travel costs and instrument repairs. Facing all these obstacles, too many young musicians are forced to stop learning or never even get to start. Too much talent is lost.
We help young musicians from low-income families by providing access to financial support, learning opportunities, mentorship and more. We work with young people, alongside their parents and music educators, to empower them to take the lead on their musical journey. We provide flexible funding to use where they have most need (whether it's covering the train to their lessons, their audition fees, concert tickets or instrument hire) and access to an inspiring programme of musical opportunities.
