Reuben's Retreat supports families after child loss and families whose children may face an uncertain future by providing a place to Relax, Recharge, Remember and Rebuild. 13 years old this year, we are building together to #CompleteTheRetreat and realise our vision.

Grieving parents and those caring for a child with medical complexities often feel socially isolated. We believe they should not have to face life’s hardest moments alone. For bereaved parents, we provide swift access to counselling and connections with peers who understand their grief. For families of children with medical complexities, we create fully accessible, meaningful experiences beyond clinical settings. We provide comfort, connection, and the chance to create lasting memories.

Through initiatives like our annual dove release, coffee afternoons, and peer support groups, we create a supportive space for grieving parents to share, reflect, and heal. For families of children with complex needs, we provide enriching experiences including music therapy, hydrotherapy swims and sensory-friendly events. Now, we aim to go further with an ambitious build project-four fully accessible holiday apartments in the Peak District, offering families a space to reconnect and find comfort
