We’re experiencing a mental health crisis in young people & adults, with Sussex seeing higher levels of mental ill health than England overall. Time outdoors is proven to be beneficial but fewer children are playing outside, and in our increasingly hyper-connected world, engagement with nature & green spaces is diminishing. Children have less opportunity to see how produce grows. A study by LEAF found 28% didn’t know carrots grow underground, 6% thought strawberries grew on trees.

We’re passionate about sharing the positive impact that working outdoors in nature has on our physical & mental health. We provide a safe space to learn & participate in activities on our organic smallholding to foster health & wellbeing. We run a programme of education & green therapy sessions, community workshops & volunteering, outside on our 2.4 acre site. All activities delivered in line with our ethos of sustainability – we value having a positive impact on our local and wider environment.
