Many young children are experiencing mental health issues and frequently their parents do not have the support or knowledge on how to help their child. Many schools are under constant pressure and resources are limited. Adjusting to life with memory loss is immensely challenging for the person themselves and their family. Their world can be turned upside down probably without the tools or knowledge of lived experience that others may have. This can lead to isolation and withdrawl.

The charity would like to develop it's preventative type work for primary aged children and their parents through the delivery of bespoke and locally produced wellbeing courses entitled Flourishing Start. The Charity's Mental Wellbeing Worker would deliver the courses. We would like to develop Memory Support Groups as a place to socialise, learn from others, enjoy activities and receive information from speakers which can provide tools and strategies to live with dementia.
