Reducing loneliness - In 2021, research by Sense showed nearly two thirds (70%) of disabled children and young disabled people (CYP) were chronically lonely, meaning they feel lonely often or always. Physical activity - NHS guidance suggests CYP require around 1 hour of activity a day to remain healthy. Sport England state 52% of CYP with a disability are considered “inactive”. Employability - employment rate & opportunities for disabled people are 29% less than non-disabled people (Jan-Mar '23)

Provide a safe space for children with SEND to attend, where they can relax and be themselves without judgement. Making friends, build social, emotional, creative skills and increase physical activity and reduce sense of isolation. Introduce a volunteer programme for young people with SEND to build their confidence and basic work skills, mentoring their younger peers providing increased employability opportunities through experience gained via admin, communication and service delivery.
