Across the countries where we work, mothers are struggling to grow enough nutritious food on their land with high rates of poverty and child malnutrition, often just eating one meal a day. Women are not traditionally visible as decision-makers and entrepreneurs – even though they are doing most of the hard work. Depleted soils worsened by the climate crisis alongside poor hygiene further exacerbate the situation.

We actively seek out women to join our programmes who can have more impact on their family and community. 3,000 mothers will receive training in sustainable farming to support better nutrition & improve dietary diversity such fruit tree planting and kitchen vegetable gardens. They’ll improve their home hygiene to reduce easily avoidable illnesses to help prevent malnutrition alongside how to set up small businesses so they can boost their future income and invest in their family’s future.
