In South Bristol, economic inequality is rising, whilst access to the arts shrinks. Requests for supported places in our Get Involved programme have grown by 25% in two years. Our work offers welcoming creative spaces where young people build confidence, connection and joy, when they need it most.

Children and young people in South Bristol face growing barriers to accessing the arts. School-based provision is declining, family finances are under pressure, and opportunities for creative expression are becoming increasingly limited. 51% of participants in our programme live in Bristol’s most deprived wards, and we are seeing rising demand from young people who need safe, inclusive spaces to build confidence, wellbeing and connection.

Our Children & Young People’s Programme provides year-round, inclusive creative opportunities for ages 5–18 in South Bristol. Through weekly youth theatre, holiday workshops, early years activity, SEND-inclusive provision, schools partnerships and community performances, we create spaces where young people feel safe, valued and able to express themselves. The programme is locally rooted, artist-led and designed to remove barriers to participation.
