This project supports people living with a mild to moderate dementia diagnosis, to live well and benefit from peer support in a safe and welcoming environment. Through the facilitation of maintenance cognitive stimulation therapy our clients have reported improved mood, movement and memory.

We currently have a gap in our funding to support our five dementia groups running across the county. The groups sessions deliver two hours weekly of maintenance cognitive stimulation therapy to people living with a mild to moderate dementia diagnosis and have proven highly effective—boosting memory, mood, and movement, while creating laughter, friendship, and vital peer support for carers. Participants are thriving and don’t want the groups to end.

We need to raise funds to ensure our clients and carers continue to benefit from this valuable service. The support carers receive is just as important, ensuring that carers receive the correct benefits advice, providing health and wellbeing advice and scams awareness support and friendship from a group who understand their challenges. One in six of us will be affected by dementia by the age of 80 — we can’t change the statistics, but we can help people live their best lives through friendship and support. Your donations help us continue offering a lifeline to those living with dementia and their carers — a safe space filled with understanding, compassion, and hope for the future.
