Haringey and Enfield have respective poverty rates of 34% and 27%, making Haringey the 4th most deprived borough in London. This leads to greater rates of obesity (34% of Enfield's Year 6s are overweight), mental health issues, and a lack of long-term career options (Haringey has the second most working age people claiming benefits). Poorer children are also less likely to access extra-curricular sport.

The Foundation engages ‘hard-to-reach' young people with free football in schools and council estates, alongside mentoring, employability support, mental health programmes and social action projects. We run dedicated sessions for children in care, care leavers, disabled young people, and girls. Our sessions provide measurable improvements in mental health, physical health, and life skills.
