For almost a century, countless people have celebrated, debated, danced, and made positive social change under Conway Hall’s roof. Our Grade II listed building is home to the UK’s last remaining ethical society and plays a unique role in championing social justice, equality, and a better life for all through our programme of ethics-related talks, concerts, debates, and workshops. However, as we approach our building’s centenary, Conway Hall’s roof is in urgent need of repair and renovation.
The funds raised in the Big Give Christmas Challenge will enable us to address the most urgent of these repairs, such as rainwater drainage and guttering. This crucial work will ensure the preservation of our Grade II listed space – including our Main Hall, Library, and Archives – and will enable us to continue hosting ‘educational and provocative’ events that Make Ethics Matter.
