We exist to amplify British East and Southeast Asian (BESEA) voices and stories, which remain woefully underrepresented and misunderstood in UK culture. We are a company that has been an award-winning agent for change in addressing the ecosystem of racism and inequality faced by BESEA people, supporting more nuanced representation at all levels of engagement: in audiences, amongst artists and within the arts workforce.

The cultural sphere is one of the most important places for shaping perceptions in society. Our mission is therefore to drive cultural citizenship to challenge perceptions around, provoke conversations about and promote understanding of the BESEA experience. We do this through a comprehensive arts programme: our innovative theatre productions, academy/artist development training programmes, access to our archive and grassroots community engagement in schools and museums.
