The children and young people we support face profound physical, emotional and social challenges. Many live with disabilities, life limiting conditions or mental health difficulties. Others experience isolation, poverty or trauma. We help young people like Luke. Luke is an awesome, outgoing 11-year old boy living with an ultra-rare medical condition. Luke has episodes of paralysis and often stops breathing. He is fed through a tube, is nonverbal and is unable to walk.

The week long pilgrimage is a first for many children - first trip abroad, first time away from home and first time included in group activities. The trained volunteers present provide a safe and nurturing environment that builds self esteem, independence and social connection. Participants engage in movement, reflection and experiences tailored to their needs. For their families and carers, the trip also provides a crucial respite, safe in the knowledge that their loved ones are in safe hands.
