The Upper West has the highest poverty incidence in Ghana - and limited access to technology, creating an even bigger divide. Digital poverty compounds overall poverty. Hungry children don’t go to school, so basic education completion rates are low – and children learn IT from a blackboard. There’s little support to kickstart businesses. And life for children with disabilities is unimaginably hard. These challenges mutually reinforce each other, trapping communities in a cycle of poverty.

Widening access to life-changing technology is a key mission – growing skills, accessing educational materials, connecting with the outside world. The hungry child will be fed – and build skills. The entrepreneur can access new markets, growing their business. The disabled child can learn about the world. With a dedicated Tech team, we can bring hundreds, if not thousands, of children into our Zones and into the modern world. Switching on hope is more than computers - it's transformational.
