No child should die without warning or explanation. SUDC UK is driving pioneering medical research to successfully impact the future prediction and prevention of Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC). Today there is nothing we can do to save them and this campaign could change that.

Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC) has had limited attention for too long. We cannot even begin to try and protect children from unexplained death. In the UK, 1–2 seemingly healthy children (1-18 years) die suddenly without explanation, every two weeks. Tragically, SUDC is the fourth leading cause of death in children aged 1–4. We cannot prevent SUDC or identify which children are at risk - yet. With your support, we can change this.
SUDC UK is the only national charity solely focused on making Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC) predictable and preventable. While SIDS (previously cot death in under 1s) has seen an 80% reduction and over 13,000 scientific papers, the incidence of SUDC is unchanging and has fewer than 100 published studies. Research is critically lacking—but with your support and our new research strategy, we will fund excellent research to bring hope and answers to families and save young lives.
