Many students struggle to access IT education and practical digital skills. Schools lack resources to provide computer access. Most students leave school without ever using a computer. Some students sit IT exams without having seen a computer before. Only 13% of secondary schools in Malawi have an IT lab, with similar gaps in rural areas of Zambia and Zimbabwe. Students in underserved areas have far fewer opportunities to benefit from digital education and are getting left behind.

We aim to provide low-income secondary schools with IT labs of 10 computers each, supported with IT teacher training and IT maintenance/support. Providing IT facilities and digital skills teaching to students for the very first time. We will support schools in underserved communities which have little funding and cannot afford IT facilities. This will enable students to benefit from the practical element of their ICT classes and advance opportunities for education and life.
