For those with the least, it is hard to imagine overcoming immediate personal problems, let alone helping a whole community. Many people subconsciously believe they are powerless to effect change. We see this again and again in the communities in which we work in rural sub-Saharan Africa. Subsequently, people wait for others, an NGO or an organisation to come and bring help. Many times, nobody is coming, or if they do, they come for a while and then leave. Nothing much changes in the long run.

We believe that EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE, and especially the ‘least’ (Matthew 25:40-The Bible), can reach their community and grow the life and presence of God. By building EVERYDAY Christian community open to all they can share the message and life of Jesus and help people practically. Therefore, instead of bringing help from the outside of a community, Dignity raises up people from within through the formation of Life Groups: Christian communities on mission together.
