250 million children worldwide can’t access education, trapping them and their families in poverty. As economies develop, the gap widens between those with education and those without. Barriers include lack of actual schools, teachers unwilling to work in rural schools, lack of resources, and hunger. Girls face added challenges from child marriage, isolation during menstruation, and poor hygiene facilities.
We partner with local teachers to bring education to underserved communities, providing resources and support to build schools. In 20 years, we've built 49 schools—some with 1,000+ pupils. We fund meals to fight hunger, improving exam results, and provide hygiene facilities so all children, especially girls, can attend with dignity. We support girls rescued from child marriage to still attend school and help rural schools house teachers to attract and retain them. Help us build brighter futures.
