We are tackling the linked issues of social isolation and poor emotional and mental health amongst mums in our communities- studies show that feelings of loneliness and low self-esteem are associated with depressive illness in mothers. We are also addressing financial hardship amongst families with young children. Recent research from Little Village/Joseph Rowntree Foundation found that a third of UK families with children under 5 are now living in poverty.

Our Mums' Hubs are a safe, welcoming, non-judgemental space for isolated mums to visit and find support and community, and are also a place for children to meet and learn to play with their peers. This, coupled with our befriending support, improves emotional and mental health and wellbeing of both mums and their kids. Totcycle, our baby bank, provides essentials such as nappies, formula, toys, clothing and equipment (e.g. cots and prams) free of charge, reducing financial hardship.
