Join us to help fix the complex problems facing rivers. Help us gather the data to devise solutions for sewage spills and other pollution, habitat destruction, and issues we don’t yet understand. More data = stronger evidence to influence policy and legislative change - and hold polluters to account

Situation
Rivers face complex issues including habitat loss, pollution, and extraction of too much water. The proportion of rivers meeting Good Ecological Status is low and flatlining with serious impact on people and planet. Rivers are a vital defence against climate change and flooding. Poor river health stops people swimming, paddling, fishing and enjoying rivers. We need data to develop solutions to fix rivers, and help people and government understand what they need to change
Solution
By understanding every challenge, known and unknown, facing our rivers. Solutions are informed by data and evidence from both citizen science and technical work. Data also guides our advocacy, public awareness, and on-the-ground restoration work with our 67 local member rivers trusts: a multi-pronged approach to practical and systemic impact. We support project work in every part of the UK & Ireland, and aim to influence positive changes in policy and legislation relating to water management.
