We are fundraising for our Community Ticket Club; working with communities in Bristol to take away the barriers - financial, physical and perceptual - to experiencing extraordinary, uplifting live music. We want to inspire joy and create new connections for people who are at risk of loneliness.

Situation
Loneliness can profoundly affect our wellbeing. It is thought to be one of the largest public health challenges we face today. Risk factors related to big life experiences mean that loneliness is most common in young people with older people a close second. 16–24-year-olds are more likely to feel lonely than any other age group. In ‘21, 10% said they felt lonely often or always. For older people, deteriorating health, bereavement or caring commitments can increase the likelihood of loneliness.
Solution
We know that shared collective experiences are vital in stitching together the fabric of our communities. Memorable live music can increase social connection and ward away loneliness. For age groups who face even more barriers to taking part, we have created the Community Ticket Club. Working through community groups - large and small - we open up the experience of live music by providing at least 600 free tickets, a warm welcome, a free drink, a meeting space and other support based on needs.
