Women in our service face significant barriers including mental health issues, self-harm, domestic violence, and care backgrounds. Additionally, women with convictions face an uphill battle to find a job, with 55% of employers unwilling to hire them (Progress & Prejudice, Working Chance, 2022). Employment is crucial: it not only provides an income but also enhances self-worth, empowering them to build fulfilling and positive futures outside of the criminal justice system.

We support each woman to identify her own needs, skills, and ambitions, through our bespoke employability programme. We build her confidence and self-belief, alongside practical support with CVs, interview techniques and disclosing convictions. We work with organisations of all sizes across all sectors to find opportunities for women that align with their skills and aspirations. We ensure no woman is held back by her past and can find meaningful employment and transform her life.
