HCPT wishes to take disabled and disadvantaged children to Lourdes, France, in Easter 2024. The children will fly out for the week with small groups of trained and vetted volunteers on their pilgrimage holiday. HCPT is a charity with its roots in the Catholic faith. Our services are open to all.

Situation
The week away has benefited thousands of children since HCPT began in 1956. Health conditions experienced by children recently taking part included learning difficulties (33% of participants), behavioural problems (22%) and autism (19%). Other common conditions included asthma, Down's Syndrome and epilepsy. 8% of those benefiting recently were wheelchair users.
Solution
Children and young people will benefit by travelling to Lourdes with HCPT on specially chartered planes and trains. They will travel in small groups, each with trained helpers, nurses, leaders, musicians and chaplains. They will stay for a week in Lourdes, full board, staying in hotels in the town. They will enjoy activities during the week including trips to the nearby mountains and seaside, parties and games, concerts and religious services.
