Fuel works with artists asking the big questions of our times. We connect artists with audiences & participants who’ll benefit most from their work. We need support to continue building long-term inclusive creative engagement with artists & young people in communities of place, identity & interest.

Funding for arts education in state schools has steadily declined over the last decade, the results of this has manifested in a 40% drop of student registration in Arts GSCEs and the number of arts teachers has fallen by 34% (Cultural Learning Alliance, 2022). Fuel’s engagement programmes counteract this, removing barriers to the arts, bolstered by our vision that everyone has the right participate in cultural life and in the belief of the power of art and creativity to create change.

Fuel produces live experiences that share new stories, for the benefit of young audiences and participants in under-served areas, offering 10% of tickets for free to those in need. We ensure our productions reach young people across the country, working with schools and we employ educational and learning engagement specialists to ensure the work’s content is educational. Fuel's projects bridge the gap of young people's artistic participation amid cuts to schools and local authorities.
