A wealth of evidence shows that exposure to nature-based learning directly benefits children's physical, mental, social, and emotional health. This campaign will deliver our award-winning programme transforming urban schools across the UK into vibrant healthy green oases for young people everywhere.

Children are becoming increasingly disconnected from the natural environment and spending less time outdoors. Young people are disproportionately affected by 'nature deficit disorder', particularly in urban areas, leading to a range of physical and mental health issues such as obesity, anxiety and depression. Our urban schools and teachers face challenges, including heavily tarmacked outdoor space, poor air quality, and resources for outdoor learning and play. It's time for a new approach!

At Trees for Cities, we believe that everything we do must be seen through the lens of future generations. We deliver vital holistic greening programmes in urban schools across the UK that promote environmentally sustainable behaviour, support lifelong connections with trees and nature, and improve educational experiences. Through our Trees for Schools programmes, we aim to become the national lead for transforming urban school grounds into leafy green oases for children's health and wellbeing.
