The Brewery Arts Centre was recently voted No.9 best place in Britain in a national survey. We now need your help to update and preserve the building as well as to transform this historic site into a cutting edge facility for local people, national and international visitors.

One of the leading and largest arts centres in the UK, the Brewery offers a diverse and innovative mix of performances, exhibitions and events across all art forms, as well as hosting international festivals such as Kendal Mountain Festivals and the Women's Arts International Festival, a groundbreaking and unique showcase of the best women's work. Pioneering cultural tourism in Cumbria, the Brewery is a unique venue with an increasingly international reputation. The Brewery is also renowned for its extensive education programmes for adults and children alike. We now have big plans to redevelop the site and transform the centre into a cutting edge facility whilst retaining its historic and unique character. With the arrival of a University of Cumbria, the opportunitity to lead the way in cultural and arts education at degree level and beyond is an exciting possibility. We need your help to achieve this.
